Blinkcade is a place for children to learn maths — nothing else. Here is exactly how we keep it safe, and what you control as a parent.
Our promises
- No ads. Ever.No adverts, no sponsored content, no advertising trackers.
- Nothing soldWe never sell, rent or trade children’s data — or anyone’s.
- No chat, no strangersThere is no messaging, commenting or posting. Children can’t contact anyone, and no one can contact them.
- No public profilesNo leaderboards, no follower counts, nothing about your child is shown to other people.
- Only a first nameChildren’s accounts have no email, photo or location — just a first name and a username you choose.
- Our own content, checkedEvery lesson, question and game is made or reviewed by us. Every answer is checked twice.
How accounts work
A grown-up is always in charge
- Our sign-up asks for a date of birth. Children under 13 can’t sign up themselves — a parent creates their account.
- Before a child’s account works, the parent confirms by email after reading what we collect and why.
- On a shared tablet, children pick their name (with an optional PIN). Getting to the parent’s side always needs the parent’s password.
- Children see a note telling them their grown-up can see their progress.
What you control
Your child’s data is yours to manage
- See their progress, activity and weekly reports.
- Download everything we hold about them.
- Change their password or PIN, and remove shared devices.
- Delete their account and all its data — instantly, from your Family page.
Designed for healthy habits
We reward thinking, not screen time. Nothing on Blinkcade is built to keep children hooked.
- 1No timers or racingChildren go at their own pace.
- 2No naggingNo push notifications or “come back or lose it” messages. Streak shields cover missed days.
- 3Games with limitsEach game can only give a few sparks a day, so replaying for rewards has a ceiling. Every spark earned is saved straight to your child’s account.
- 4No purchases in playNo loot boxes, coins or in-game shops. Ever.
- 5Nothing leaves the siteGames and pages don’t load outside trackers, ad networks or font services. Your child’s device only talks to Blinkcade.
- 6Data that expiresChildren’s accounts unused for 12 months are deleted, after we email you first.
The laws we design for
We built Blinkcade around the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, and with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, the EU GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act in mind. If you think we’ve fallen short of any of them — or of our own promises — please tell us.
