The hill at the heart of the city
Crown Hill
Later seasonsCrown Hill rises in the middle of Crown City, and every district can see it. On top stands the Crown, the bell tower the city is named after. Since last spring it has been the Hush Tower, the Hush Patrol’s headquarters, and at 10 p.m. the drones pour out of its belfry like a flock.
It isn’t a district at launch. Curfew Night ends at its foot.
What’s under the hill
Crown Hill is a vein of golden crownstone, a rock that carries sound the way water carries ripples. In season 4 the crews go into the tunnels underneath and find the crownstone caverns. In season 5 the story climbs to the summit, where the bell is recast.
